What personnel are needed to bring this resource to fruition, (make the resource available in another language)?
The resource is written in fairly simple English. There is a process in which teams can meet and discuss how each emotion is portrayed in their particular culture. This could happen as a first session before recording starts
What kind of technical expertise is needed to adapt this resource to your situation?
We assume there is a setup for recording. Otherwise some expertise in organising a meeting and helping people to come to a consensus is always helpful.
How much time is required to do all the work required to bring the resource to completion?
Planning for a recording using this approach for one book could happen at a single meeting. It would be good to schedule a day to explore emotions and genres in detail.
What sort of logistical setting is needed? (e.g. quiet space for recording, good Internet access)
A place for people to gather where they can share their thoughts freely with someone to document decisions taken
what audiences would this tool NOT work for?
If you decide that the Bible should not be read with emotion, then this tool is not for you. There is a chapter in the app which explores the benefits of reading with correct emotion. There is currently no Iphone version, but this may change in future.
What challenges or difficulties are there using this resource?
Some of the English is not that simple, mostly in the Genres section of each chapter.
What level of help is available?
Intermediate – access to ongoing help
What particular themes are included that might be a ‘bridge’ to a target audience?
No particular themes, but using emotion correctly can make your oral product more appealing and more truthful at the same time.
